These treehouse images coincided with moving into a loft space, renting part of a collective shop space and beginning a job delivering food via bicycle in Williamsburg, all of which lent themselves to a full understanding of the way that people are stacked, layered and tucked away into spaces in New York. These pieces are inspired by the awkward, stacked and modified spaces that suddenly became my surroundings combined with a certain yearning to be back in a place where nature is a more integrated element.

This is a newer treehouse print from '09, 7x14 inches.

This is an experiment with an 8.5x11 leaf repeat.

This is the piece that transitioned from drawing a million blades of grass to drawing a million leaves. It is in the Penned exhibition: Backwards. Pen and gel pen on paper, 9x9 inches.
